Black History Month 2023 is themed around ‘Saluting Our Sisters’ and this comprehension activity uses a brilliant Team GB article to explore the life and achievements of the amazing Tessa Sanderson, who was the first British woman to win Gold in an Olympic throwing event!
There are 11 questions plus an Oracy extension which test a range of KS2 national curriculum reading skills. All answers are provided.
Sentence stems are included to support children and there is an UKS2 version of this comprehension to support with differentiation.
