International Women’s Day happens in March and is the perfect time to read about fantastic women through history.

This week of reading for UKS2 features an exploration of the creator of Harry Potter – J.K. Rowling! There are extracts from two non-fiction books – Who is J.K. Rowling and Work It Girl: J.K. Rowling – plus a BBC news article on the auctioning of a rare edition Harry Potter book.

There is daily vocabulary work and retrieval practice plus work on a range of KS2 reading comprehension skills based on the National Curriculum reading content domains.

Three writing challenges are also included.
