Remembrance is a hugely important part of the year and whole-class reading provides a perfect opportunity to bring discussions into the classroom.

This KS1 resource features a week of fully-planned whole-class reading looking at the picture book Green Lizards vs Red Rectangles, an extract from Where the Poppies Now Grow and the CBeebies poppy animation.

There is daily vocabulary work and retrieval practice, plus work on a range of KS1 reading comprehension skills based on the National Curriculum reading content domains.
