LKS2 – Deaf Awareness 1
This LKS2 resource features a week of fully-planned whole-class reading with a focus on deaf awareness (19th – 25th September is International Week of Deaf People)
The week focuses on the brilliant graphic novel El Deafo, looking at the first chapter and also taking in the TV show trailer and a song from the TV show!
There is daily vocabulary work and retrieval practice, plus work on a range of KS2 reading comprehension skills based on the National Curriculum reading content domains.
