UKS2 - Black History Month: Young, Gifted and Black!

This UKS2 resource features a week of fully-planned whole-class reading focused on male and female role-models from the brilliant book Young, Gifted and Black; perfect for October and Black History Month (or any time of year)!

The six role-models featured are Ava Duvernay, Bessie Coleman, Cathy Freeman, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, George Washington Carver and Malorie Blackman.

There is daily vocabulary work and retrieval practice, plus work on a range of KS2 reading comprehension skills based on the National Curriculum reading content domains.

There are also three writing challenges included!
