2024/25 – LKS2 Medium-Term Planning – Summer 2 Cycle A

Brand-new MTP Planning for the 2024/25 academic year – the return of our much-requested mixed-age MTPs! LKS2 has been split into a Cycle A and Cycle B, giving you two years of planning certainty and avoiding any repetition of units!

This is our suggested Summer 2 Cycle A reading teaching sequence for LKS2. The document covers 7 weeks and focuses on the following topics:

Environment (5^th June is World Environment Day)

Seaside and Islands (8^th June is World Ocean Day)

Refugees (16^th – 22^nd June is Refugee Week)

Pride (June is Pride Month)

Global Destinations – The North of England

Space Exploration (20^th July is the anniversary of the moon landings)

Friendship (30^th July is International Friendship Day)
