UKS2 Poetry Week WCR (Male Poets)
This UKS2 resource features a week of fully-planned whole-class reading featuring fantastic poetry as we celebrate National Poetry Day at the start of October!
The three poems featured are As I Watch by Steven Camden, The British by Benjamin Zephaniah and Adventures of Isabel by Ogden Nash.
There is daily vocabulary work and retrieval practice plus work on a range of UKS2 reading comprehension skills based on the National Curriculum reading content domains.
Vocabulary work now includes a look at morphology, etymology, collocation and connotation!
Three writing challenges are included!
