UKS2 Poetry Week WCR (Female Poets)
This UKS2 resource features a week of fully-planned whole-class reading featuring fantastic poetry as we celebrate National Poetry Day at the start of October!
The three poems featured are Pictures in My Mind by Joan Poulson, The Language of Cat by Rachel Rooney and Bulletproof by Laura Mucha!
There is daily vocabulary work and retrieval practice plus work on a range of UKS2 reading comprehension skills based on the National Curriculum reading content domains.
Vocabulary work now includes a look at morphology, etymology, collocation and connotation!
Three writing challenges are included!
