UKS2 International Men’s Day WCR: Hawking

This UKS2 resource features a week of fully-planned whole-class reading themed around awesome men, and more specifically the legendary scientist Stephen Hawking, and is perfect to use as we celebrate International Men’s Day in November!.

The resource includes extracts from two brilliant books: The Remarkable Ideas of Stephen Hawking and George’s Secret Key to the Universe, plus a fact-file courtesy of NatGeoKids!

There is daily vocabulary work and retrieval practice plus work on a range of UKS2 reading comprehension skills based on the National Curriculum reading content domains.

Vocabulary work now includes a look at morphology, etymology, collocation and connotation!

Three writing challenges are included!
