This KS1 resource features a week of fully-planned whole-class reading which is ideal for use during Black History Month in October.
The resource features extracts from three fantastic books inspired by true stories: Change Sings, Ballerina Dreams and Granny Came Here on the Empire Windrush.
There is daily vocabulary work and retrieval practice plus work on a range of KS1 reading comprehension skills based on the National Curriculum reading content domains.
