KS2 – Non-Fiction SATs-Style Comprehension: Eight Things You (Probably) Didn’t Know About Tutankhamun
This is a KS2 SATs-Style comprehension activity using a HistoryExtra article about the Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun.
There are 17 questions testing a range of KS2 reading skills based on the national curriculum reading content domains, and these are laid out in a style similar to what the children will face when completing their end-of-KS2 SATs, which are returning for 2022! All answers and the necessary extract are included.
The task has been designed for completion over 30 minutes, reflecting the length of the extract involved and supporting children to build up their confidence and pace over the course of the year. This would work as an excellent challenge for children aiming for Greater Depth and act as ideal prep ahead of tests in May!
