LKS2 Black History Month: Evande Gordon Comprehension
Black History Month 2023 is themed around ‘Saluting Our Sisters’ and this comprehension activity uses a brilliant Black History Month article to explore the life and achievements of the amazing Evande Gordon, who was the longest serving Black female Royal Navy Reserve, offering an incredible 42 years of service!
There are 11 questions plus an Oracy extension which test a range of KS2 national curriculum reading skills. All answers are provided.
Sentence stems are included to support children and there is an UKS2 version of this comprehension to support with differentiation.
