Hiya! I’m Lucy. I am a mum of two girls under three and a primary school teacher currently based in KS1. I started working for FREDsTeaching in April 2025, and am currently busy with something completely new and very exciting (to be launched in September).

I qualified as a teacher in 2019 and currently work two days as a classroom teacher, PE Lead and Geography Lead for our Academy Trust. My degree was a BA (Hons) in Children’s Physical Education and I love to ensure I include my knowledge of PE and keeping active within lots of my lessons – children often learn best when active!

When I’m not teaching or creating content for FREDsTeaching, you might find me running, going on adventures with my husband and girls, trying new arts and crafts (such as resin or quilting) or continuing to renovate our house!

Three interesting facts about me…

  1. When I was 15, I completed the Ten Tors 45 event where we hiked around 60 miles across Dartmoor in two days.
  2. I used to compete in National Cross Country and Athletics across the country – my main events were 800m, 1500m and Steeplechase!
  3. I am fully Cornish – I was born in Cornwall and have lived here all my life.

Favourite books…

Kids – Any Roald Dahl book.

Adult – I enjoy reading Harlan Coben books.
