This UKS2 resource features a week of fully-planned whole-class reading focused on inspirational novels with black protagonists; perfect for October and Black History Month (or any time of year)!
The books featured are Respect, Journey to Jo’burg and How High the Moon.
There is daily vocabulary work and retrieval practice, plus work on a range of KS2 reading comprehension skills based on the National Curriculum reading content domains.
There are also three writing challenges included!
