UKS2 - Poetry Week: Female Poets

This week features an exploration of 3 fantastic poems by female poets – One Vote by Aimee Nezhukumatathil, Resurrection by Sally Wen Mao and Amanda Gorman’s poem from President Biden’s inauguration: The Hill We Climb! There is daily vocabulary work and retrieval practice plus work on a range of KS2 reading comprehension skills based on the National Curriculum reading content domains. UKS2 planning also features a CHALLENGE task following each day’s work!
