UKS2 – Remembrance WCR: 50 Things and Wait For Me
Remembrance is a hugely important part of the year and whole-class reading provides a perfect opportunity to bring discussions into the classroom.
This UKS2 resource features a week of fully-planned whole-class reading looking at an extract from 50 Things You Should Know About the Second World War, a poem called Wait for Me and a BBC News article!
There is daily vocabulary work and retrieval practice, plus work on a range of KS2 reading comprehension skills based on the National Curriculum reading content domains.
Three additional writing challenges are included!
