LKS2 Black History Month WCR – Windrush

This LKS2 resource features a week of fully-planned whole-class reading which is ideal for use during Black History Month in October.

The resource focuses on Windrush and features non fiction courtesy of Black and British: An Illustrated History, a graphic novel in Windrush Child: The Graphic Novel and an extract from the modern class Coming to England!

There is daily vocabulary work and retrieval practice plus work on a range of LKS2 reading comprehension skills based on the National Curriculum reading content domains.

Vocabulary work now includes a look at morphology and etymology!
