UKS2 Olympics Planning

This UKS2 resource features a week of fully-planned whole-class reading themed around the Olympics, ready for use as we build up to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games!

There are three days of work featuring a poem from Olympic Poems, an extract from Olympic Sport: The Whole Muscle-Flexing Story and a Newsround article the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

There is daily vocabulary work and retrieval practice, plus work on a range of KS2 reading comprehension skills based on the National Curriculum reading content domains.

Three writing challenges are also included.
