UKS2 Refugee Week 1 WCR
This week features three days looking at extracts themed around refugees to use as part of June’s Refugee Week!
There are extracts from the excellent novel Boy 87, the graphic novel When Stars are Scattered and a poem by Benjamin Zephaniah called We Refugees.
There is daily vocabulary work and retrieval practice plus work on a range of UKS2 reading comprehension skills based on the National Curriculum reading content domains.
Vocabulary work now includes a look at morphology, etymology, collocation and connotation!
Three writing challenges are included!
